Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Delaware

I’m Mallory, MSN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude, after spending seven years as a registered nurse in emergency departments across the country. My time in emergency medicine taught me the importance of meeting people where they are—with empathy, presence, and respect.

Following graduate school, I completed the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Clinician Fellowship at ChristianaCare Health System, where I gained extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings before transitioning into a full-time psychiatric provider role. I was also selected to participate in the inaugural cohort of nurse practitioners to complete a four-month intensive reproductive psychiatry workshop through Massachusetts General Hospital, led by world-renowned Harvard faculty and leading experts Dr. Lee Cohen and Dr. Marlene Freeman.

In recognition of clinical excellence, I was honored as one of Delaware Today’s Top 10 Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Professionals in both 2025 & 2026. I am a board member of the Delaware Chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI) and hold additional PSI certifications reflecting my commitment to perinatal and reproductive mental health, including Perinatal Loss.

I also hold a strong belief in the healing power of birth story processing. Every parent carries a story from the day they brought their child into the world—whether beautiful, complicated, or both. When that story is spoken and integrated, it can soften the edges, bring clarity, and support a more grounded transition into parenthood. My advanced training with Birth Story Medicine has allowed me to lead birth story sessions that bring birth storytellers to self-acceptance and greater understanding.

In addition to my perinatal training, I’ve completed further coursework through the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences focused on women’s hormones and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), expanding my ability to support mood and wellbeing across the reproductive lifespan, as well as advanced courses through Postpartum Stress Center on both “mom rage” and OCD.

My passion for this work began during my own first pregnancy, when I experienced firsthand how vital it is to have support from a provider who truly understands the intersection of motherhood and mental wellness.

Outside of practice, I cherish time with my husband and our two young daughters, who remind me daily of the beauty and complexity of motherhood.
